Broussard's Lament

I would recommend to anyone and everyone to listen to Sarah Jarosz's album 'Song Up In Her Head' it's completely amazing.

But down to business...I wrapped the majority of the Christmas presents I've got already, going to finish the rest once I buy the rest of the wrapping materials!

Diiirrrty Dianaaa ♥

What's my age again?

Today I've decided I'm going to try and blog more often and that each time I blog, I'll title it with a line/or name of/ from the song I'm listening the time.

So today I'm feeling a little better, though am more nausea affected than cold shakes, which could prove to be a good sign. I went for my eye test that I've been meaning to have for a good few months now after suffering from really bad eye strain and headaches on and off...turns out I'm in need of glasses when I'm on the p.c or reading. So I've ordered myself two pairs of glasses in a delightful by 1 get 1 free offer, which was lucky as the prices were still extortionate.

So when I got home I took the dogs for a walk and got to editing a photo...

Update.

From one thing or another, lately things just have been going a little wrong, but I'll take a deep breath, close my eyes and push forwards. Forward is the only place to go. No point going backwards because that gets you to places you'd rather not visit ever again.
So in desperate need of distraction, I shot the top photo. It only took a couple of hours to do the hair, makeup and the shoot itself, as the subject is myself. The outcome doesn't really look like me much and for all the reasons in the world and more...I couldn't be happier with that fact.

As per usual I've done a few shoots with Deary, the above image was from a shoot for her current Uni work based about nightmares, the shot I've uploaded and edited has very little to do with her work other than the concept as...its not going to be used in her work as it's my editing for my own ends.
The two photos below were originally going to just be a test shoot in water, but once the shots were taken during the editing process we really liked the shots and decided that the concept of 'Ophelia in the water' was something we had unintentially connected to.
And yes...these shots were taken in my bath.
This final shot is from a group set build at Uni, its a conceptual take on the Blade Runner film. Shot on 120mm film with a beautiful beast of a Hasselblad camera.
